Kochava is offering free access to the Kochava Collective for vital institutions fighting the pandemic.

As the world faces the COVID-19 pandemic, Kochava is making data from the Kochava Collective available to select organizations in an effort to help flatten the curve. Media outlets, educational, and public health institutions can access our privacy-first data set for research purposes.

The Collective is the world’s largest independent mobile data marketplace with over 7 billion connected devices globally. It is composed of privacy-first anonymized, aggregated data, and is completely separate from our enterprise data, which is never shared. With it, we are uniquely positioned to provide researchers with data from the following categories:

  • Apps on device
  • Points of interest (locations visited)
  • Householding
  • Precision geo
  • Interactive Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) interests and behaviors
  • Demographics

In recent weeks data from the Collective has been helpful to news organizations seeking to visualize Americans’ changes in travel as social distancing measures were implemented, such as in this article by Reuters. The story was also additionally explored by Flowing Data, Brinkware, and The Spokesman Review.

While the current crisis has thrown the world off-kilter, we are doing our part to help those on the frontlines of the pandemic. During this time of uncertainty, our goal is to help analyze the data in the Collective and provide it for free to experts in public health, policy makers, educators, and reporters who may apply it to help flatten the curve.
