Last week, we held our Fifth Annual Kochava Mobile Summit. The event has been growing steadily and entices deep conversations about the industry. Fraud is rampant
Fraud is ever-evolving, and as an industry, it’s imperative that we work together to communicate with media partners about what we won’t tolerate and also expose the entities that continue to steal revenue through traffic sniping and app cloning and other tactics. A Business Value Assessment by Kochava will help establish normal baseline numbers from which to compare traffic and distinguish which networks are delivering quality traffic. Blockchain for everyone
Kathryn Haun, Professor, Stanford Law School and Stanford School of Business; Former Prosecutor, US Department of Justice, kicked off the Summit with her captivating story about how the federal government used blockchain technology to bring down some of the biggest cyber criminals in recent history. As a prosecutor, she used the new system of record to uncover evidence that would have otherwise gone undetected. Haun shed light on the darknet and the easily accessible tools fraudsters use to steal advertisers’ money. Further educating on the blockchain topic, William Mougayar, author of The Business Blockchain, explained how blockchain “is the record keeper that enables the assurance” that an asset was exchanged. Our own XCHNG framework based on blockchain technology holds incredible power to create much-needed transparency and trust within the digital advertising industry.
The app stores are becoming increasingly crowded, and, as a result, churn is more likely to proliferate. Kochava is taking push notifications a step further with Kochava Engagement.
