Kochava provides a venue for these apps to reach audiences outside the Chinese marketplace.\r\n\r\nExcerpts are reprinted below or you can read the full story <a href=\"http:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2016\/03\/17\/mobile-analytics-company-kochava-strikes-deal-to-give-80k-chinese-apps-access-to-u-s-ads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.\r\n\r\n<hr \/>\r\n\r\nThe Chinese app economy has been exploding, but so far most of the country\u2019s apps have needed help to market abroad, in part because of the huge differences between China and other large markets, like the U.S.\r\n\r\nNo Chinese domestic data providers have been able to bridge the divide adequately.\r\n\r\nSo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kochava.com\/\">Kochava<\/a>, a U.S.-based mobile analytics company that helps mobile apps track the performance of their marketing efforts \u2014 including on big platforms like Google, Facebook and Twitter \u2014 has signed a partnership to allow most of China\u2019s big apps instant access to the U.S market.\r\n\r\nSpecifically, Kochava has partnered with China\u2019s largest mobile data services company, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.talkingdata.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TalkingData<\/a>, which serves more than 80,0000 app customers (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20160314005474\/en\/Kochava-TalkingData-Partner-Bring-World-Class-Mobile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">details are in the release<\/a>). That includes 80 percent of the top 50 Chinese app developers, in terms of revenue, according to Kochava CEO Charles Manning. Now those apps can have instant access to Kochava\u2019s services, with the blessing of TalkingData, Manning told VentureBeat in an interview.\r\n<h3>More money coming from China<\/h3>\r\n[These] partnerships are likely to bring much more money to the U.S. over the next year, for a couple of reasons.\r\n\r\nFirst, TalkingData\u2019s own ad measurement services have so far stopped at the Chinese border. That\u2019s largely because China\u2019s\u00a0market is fiercely competitive and works differently from most other markets, Kochava\u2019s Manning explains. TalkingData doesn\u2019t have the U.S. relationships it needs with large companies like Google, Twitter, or Facebook that would allow it to get the best U.S. data on app performance. And it would difficult to do so. Facebook, the top dog for app marketing, hasn\u2019t opened its measurement partner program to other players in quite some time, even to U.S.-based companies like Adobe.\r\n\r\nSecond, the trend of expansion by Chinese companies abroad continues. In February, for example, a consortium of Chinese companies, led by web and security company Qihoo 360 Technology,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/venturebeat.com\/2016\/02\/10\/opera-accepts-1-2b-offer-from-chinese-firms-hungry-for-its-booming-mobile-ad-business\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">made a $1.2 billion offer for Opera Software<\/a>, which owns a large mobile advertising platform called Opera Mediaworks. One driver of the\u00a0deal was to gain access to a means of marketing products internationally. (The consortium also includes Beijing Kunlun Tech, a distributor of online and mobile games.)\r\n\r\nFor now, Kochava\u00a0[is one of]\u00a0only a handful of companies with full-fledged performance analytics, including attribution. Such services are necessary to help apps know whether Facebook, for example, was responsible for a new user installing an app, or whether the install came from an ad on some other U.S ad network.
